# Token buyback

We designed Gateway to be a revenue-generating web3 business to ensure the project's long-term sustainability. <br>

Every quarter of each year:

* 60% of the revenue generated will be sent to the treasury to fund the continuous development and marketing of the project
* 40% of the revenue generated will be used to buy back $GATE tokens from the market and burnt, thereby reducing the circulating supply of $GATE tokens in the market
